The Great Big Radio Show

  • Theatre Royal Winchester Jewry Street Winchester SO23 8SB (map)

It’s 1933 in New York, and the Great Big Radio Show Saturday night broadcast is just about to go on the air, live.

The weekly variety program stars the celebrated Gloria Pilbeam; the only trouble is—she can’t be found!

Winner of both the prestigious Vivian Ellis Award, and The Quest for a British Musical, The Great Big Radio Show is presented by the Discarded Nut Theatre Company and The Spitfire Sisters with actors drawn from the local community.

Written by the esteemed Winchester playwright, Philip Glassborow, this is an enchanting and affectionate pastiche of the great musical comedies of the 1930s.
