It was the usual high standard we have come to expect from this company.

The Discarded Nut Theatre Company is run by the highly experience duo Noël Jones and Harriet Morris. Based in Winchester, we regularly travel across Hampshire with our original brand of theatrical work. With the emphasis on having fun, inspiring people and creating innovative high quality experiences in whatever we undertake, DNTC offers a great range of opportunities for young people to get involved in drama and music workshops, projects and productions and experience first-hand what it is like to work with a professional theatre company.

We focus on the individual, believing that every young person has something valuable to contribute if they are given a chance to shine. Using theatre games, improvisation, devising and other drama techniques to build inclusive companies of unique, confident and talented people, our work embraces a diverse range of themes from exploring personal and social issues to historical and educational topics. In addition, we aim to reawaken people's love of classic texts and tales through new adaptations, new writing and new music.

Finally, we seek to employ newly-qualfield arts practitioners in their first professional engagement as well as offering interesting and stimulating work-experience placements to our local secondary schools and sixth form colleges.
